Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager to lead operational excellence initiatives within our aerospace manufacturing facility in Muskegon, MI. This role will focus on driving lean transformation, optimizing processes, and enhancing productivity across casting and component manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in CI methodologies and a strong background in aerospace or precision metal manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies across the plant.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and execute improvement projects in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis sessions.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to track CI progress and ensure sustainability.
  • Train and mentor team members on CI tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to streamline casting and machining processes.
  • Support digital transformation and automation initiatives aligned with CI goals.
  • Report progress and results to senior leadership and contribute to strategic planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Continuous Improvement within aerospace or precision manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of casting processes and aerospace component production.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher (Black Belt preferred).
  • Proven track record of leading successful CI projects with measurable results.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and CI software (e.g., Minitab, Power BI, etc.).
