Control Tower Specialist
About the Role:
As a Control Tower Specialist, you will be the central point of coordination and visibility across the end-to-end supply chain. You will monitor, analyze, and manage logistics operations in real-time, ensuring seamless execution, proactive issue resolution, and continuous improvement. This role is critical in delivering operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily logistics operations through the control tower platform, ensuring timely execution of shipments and services.
- Track and trace shipments across multiple modes (road, air, sea, rail) and proactively manage exceptions.
- Serve as the first point of contact for escalations, coordinating with internal teams, carriers, and customers to resolve issues.
- Analyze data and KPIs to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to enhance visibility tools and reporting dashboards.
- Support implementation of new customers, lanes, or services into the control tower environment.
- Ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present performance reports to internal stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Experience with control tower platforms, TMS (Transportation Management Systems), or visibility tools (e.g., FourKites, Project44, SAP TM) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a customer-centric mindset.
- Fluent in English and Dutch.
