Position Summary

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, validating, and integrating modern electrical architectures into vehicle platforms. Responsibilities include electrical harness design, 12V and high-voltage system development, CAN/LIN communications integration, power distribution design, testing, documentation, component selection, prototype support, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and product development teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Integrate new electrical systems into production programs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop electrical schematics and architectures using industry-standard electrical design software.
  • Design and prototype wiring harnesses and power distribution systems.
  • Install and validate electrical components on prototype vehicles while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Perform bench-level and vehicle-level testing, documenting results and corrective actions.
  • Create, organize, and maintain engineering documentation within PLM systems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and technology partners.
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2-6 years of professional electrical engineering experience.
  • Experience with automotive electrical systems, EV technologies, or power electronics.
  • Understanding of CAN bus hardware and software protocols.
  • Experience designing and prototyping PCBs for low-voltage and high-voltage applications.
  • Strong understanding of automotive electrical engineering principles.
  • Ability to work with basic shop and test equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and continuous-improvement mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electrical design and vehicle network modeling software.
  • Familiarity with PLM and CAD platforms used in product development environments.
