Global Sourcing Category Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Global Category Manager to lead the strategic sourcing and e-commerce category management for their luxury kitchen and bath product lines. This hybrid role combines global sourcing expertise with e-commerce strategy, focusing on optimizing product assortment, supplier relationships, and digital channel performance.
This is a hybrid role that requires you to be on-site in Miami 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for kitchen and bath categories (e.g., tubs, sinks, faucets).
- Build and manage supplier relationships across Asia, Europe, and North America to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to drive cost savings and maintain product excellence.
- Monitor global market trends, raw material costs, and geopolitical risks to inform sourcing decisions.
- Lead the e-commerce category strategy
- Optimize product listings, digital merchandising, and promotional strategies to increase conversion and sales.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to execute go-to-market plans and brand campaigns.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer needs.
- Partner with product development to introduce innovative, high-quality products that enhance the brand portfolio.
- Work closely with supply chain, inventory planning, marketing, and finance teams to align sourcing and category strategies with business goals.
- Ensure inventory levels meet demand forecasts while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
- Analyze category performance metrics including sales, margins, and inventory turnover.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize profitability and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in global sourcing or category management within the durable goods or luxury home products sector.
- Proven success in supplier negotiations, contract management, and international sourcing.
- Strong understanding of Amazon strategy, digital merchandising, and DTC e-commerce.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP and category management tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
- Experience with inventory planning, demand forecasting, and product lifecycle management.
