Head of Maintenance (automotive)

Head of Maintenance

Location: Eastern China (Zhejiang / Jiangsu)

Reports To: Plant Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for foundry and machining equipment.
  • Lead a team of mechanical, electrical, and automation technicians.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and increase equipment reliability.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support operational goals.
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
  • Maintain CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and ensure accurate reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or similar field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, familiarity with both mechanical and electrical aspects.
  • Strong knowledge of foundry operations, hydraulic systems, PLCs, and automation with experience in in automotive or heavy industry manufacturing.
  • Proven experience in TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16949 standards.
