Maintenance Engineer
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a global plastic packaging organization who is looking to add a Maintenance Engineer to their growing team in the greater Spartanburg, SC area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of all production equipment, with a strong emphasis on injection molding systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and implement process improvements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Train and mentor junior maintenance staff and machine operators on basic troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent technical training.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in maintenance of injection molding machinery in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics or packaging.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial electrical systems.
- Familiarity with brands such as Husky, Engel, Arburg, or similar injection molding machines is a plus.
