Role Summary

A manufacturing facility specializing in blow-molded plastic containers is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead its maintenance operations. This role is responsible for overseeing the performance and reliability of hydraulic and electrical systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal equipment functionality. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong technical background and a commitment to safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and guide a team of mechanical and electrical technicians in executing safe and effective maintenance procedures.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive maintenance program that includes both preventive and routine activities to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and oversee repairs or rebuilds of machinery to prevent operational disruptions.
  • Coordinate training and professional development initiatives for maintenance personnel.
  • Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Set departmental goals aligned with broader plant and business objectives.
  • Maintain equipment to meet production targets and quality expectations.
  • Advance preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment reliability.
  • Optimize technician utilization and enhance planning and scheduling processes.
  • Drive productivity improvements through training, capital investments, and cost control measures.
  • Analyze maintenance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Evaluate team performance to identify training needs and growth opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a plant-wide maintenance leadership role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience in injection molding or foam manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems is a plus.
  • Willingness to work reasonable overtime based on operational needs.
