Summary

A leading heavy‑manufacturing organization is seeking a Materials Manager to oversee end‑to‑end materials planning, inventory control, and program optimization across a high‑volume, process-driven environment. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with a strong analytical mindset and proven experience in global materials management.

You will play a critical role in ensuring material availability, driving operational excellence, and supporting strategic initiatives across supply chain, procurement, and production teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the materials management function, including planning, scheduling, inventory optimization, and material flow.
  • Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, procurement, production, and engineering to ensure operational readiness.
  • Develop, enhance, and optimize materials management programs, processes, and workflows.
  • Monitor and improve inventory accuracy, service levels, and forecast alignment.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support global and multi-site coordination efforts as applicable.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA Degree required; advanced degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • ASCM or APICS certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Materials Management within global, process-driven companies.
  • Demonstrated experience building and optimizing materials management programs.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Experience in heavy or complex manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
