Operations Manager
This role is responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations at a production facility and ensuring consistent execution of daily output. The role focuses on developing frontline leadership, driving operational discipline, and strengthening a culture centered on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support production leadership throughout the shift, offering guidance, feedback, and problem‑solving assistance to ensure operational goals are achieved.
- Establish clear performance expectations and reinforce standardized processes to improve consistency and reliability across manufacturing lines.
- Drive improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, and workforce effectiveness while aligning with broader business priorities.
- Build strong relationships across departments to ensure smooth communication and coordinated execution of site objectives.
- Coordinate with supply planning and inventory teams to reduce disruptions, improve schedule adherence, and support customer commitments.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve efficiency related to staffing models, yields, and operating practices.
- Ensure safety expectations are clearly defined, consistently followed, and continuously reinforced.
- Support food safety programs by escalating risks, following through on corrective actions, and promoting shared ownership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of experience in a food or beverage manufacturing industry
- A minimum of 3 years of experience managing or supervising teams
- Experience in a union environment is preferred.
- Financial aptitude related to budgeting, expense management, and performance tracking.
