Role Overview
The Plant General Manager will oversee operations at an assigned plant, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards while driving operational excellence. Reporting to the Regional Plant Director, this role requires strong leadership to manage teams, optimize processes, and maintain regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead plant operations to meet production, safety, and compliance goals.
- Coach and develop managers and supervisors; oversee workforce planning and performance.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations for waste handling and processing.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for productivity and safety.
- Manage budgets, facilities, and capital expense requests.
- Act as a point of escalation for customer issues and maintain high service standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of leadership experience in plant operations.
- Experience in hazardous waste industry required.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, transportation logistics, and plant management systems.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and lead diverse teams.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
