Plant Manager

The ideal candidate for this position will bring significant experience in Injection Molding operations at the Plant Manager level.

The Plant Manager provides strong leadership and is fully responsible for departmental performance, ensuring that safety, quality, productivity, and customer service targets are consistently met. This role leads supervisors and team members while taking complete ownership of the department's continuous improvement efforts-designing, refining, enhancing, and documenting processes, including external factors that impact those processes. The Plant Manager ensures all key performance indicators (KPIs) are monitored, remain on target, and are reported promptly; makes necessary adjustments to resources or performance to maintain results; and ensures accurate, timely use of Prism, the Management Operating System (MOS), and any other required data tools.

A candidate for this role must have experience as a Plant Manager in injection molding.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four‑year institution, or formal training in plastic manufacturing processes such as compression molding, injection molding, or pultrusion, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience is required.
  • More than 10 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting scientific and technical publications, financial documents, and legal materials.
  • Skilled in budget development and variance analysis.
  • Able to present information clearly and effectively to senior leadership.
  • Competent in preparing standard reports and business correspondence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, both in individual interactions and group settings.
  • Able to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in real‑world applications.
  • Capable of identifying problems, gathering and evaluating data, establishing facts, and drawing sound conclusions. Able to interpret complex technical instructions presented in mathematical or diagram formats and work with both abstract and concrete variables.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with analytical tools such as Power BI
  • Experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) or MRP software strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution System such as Mattec, Plex or Epicor

Work may take place near operating machinery or equipment.

Risk of exposure to biological hazards such as bloodborne pathogens, sewage, or medical waste.
