Process Engineer
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a growing Packaging organization who is looking to add a Process Engineer to their site in Memphis, TN. The Process Engineer will lead initiatives that improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and sustainability across manufacturing operations. The Process Engineer will also manage the rollout of new products, develop standardized and innovative processes, and champion continuous improvement programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the launch of new products into manufacturing operations
- Develop and implement efficient, scalable production processes.
- Research and propose new equipment, tools, or technologies to improve performance.
- Develop and maintain manufacturing standards, including costing standards, pallet, packaging, nailing, and gluing standards
- Support the product design team in ensuring designs are optimized for manufacturability.
- Document and optimize procedures to support scalability and operational excellence.
- Identify, lead, and sustain improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Coordinate new equipment implementation projects, including layout planning, process updates, and development of supporting procedures.
- Support digitalization initiatives within operations.
- Act as a cross-functional liaison between operations functional groups.
- Ensure adherence to applicable local and regional regulations.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Support internal audits and process documentation requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) with 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management and change management skills. PMP certification would be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma principles.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design tools.
