Salary: $90,000 - $95,000
Location: Bergen County, NJ (Onsite)
Company Summary:
A rapidly growing personal care manufacturer is seeking a Process Engineer to support new product introductions and ongoing manufacturing operations. This is an opportunity to join a high-energy, team-oriented environment where you'll play a key role in scaling production, improving processes, and supporting a growing customer base within a dynamic plant setting.
The Process Engineer will be responsible for:
- Running trials & scale-up work - Execute pilot batches and line trials, collect data, and support scale-up from lab to full production.
- Supporting new product launches - Take customer specs and help translate them into manufacturing and filling processes on the floor.
- Troubleshooting production issues - Work directly with production and quality teams to resolve day-to-day manufacturing problems.
- Improving existing processes - Identify variability in batching, filling, or assembly and help implement practical improvements.
- Maintaining documentation & specs - Update SOPs, batch records, and manufacturing instructions to ensure accuracy and GMP compliance.
The Process Engineer should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering preferred (other technical degrees considered).
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Hands-on experience supporting process improvement, troubleshooting, and plant operations.
- Experience with scale-up, pilot trials, or new product introduction activities.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Background in personal care, cosmetics, or similar industries is a plus.
