The Dortmund site is particularly recognized for its collaborative and friendly culture.
Role Overview
As the Direct Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for all direct material categories used in product manufacturing at the Dortmund site, with close collaboration and alignment with a nearby site. This is a strategic and hands-on role with full ownership of supplier relationships and category performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement of:
- Radiation services (used on wafers)
- Wafers
- Mechanical parts
- Quartz components
- Chemicals
- Overall new product development (NPD)
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support innovation and product introduction
- Lead supplier qualification, evaluation, and risk assessments
- Work closely with quality and global procurement teams
- Manage a spend of €20-30 million
- Sole responsibility for both sites, with potential to split categories over time
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 years of international procurement experience
- Strong understanding of engineering or manufcaturing or automotive logic
- Experience in supplier qualification and risk management
- Fluency in German (C1 minimum) and English
- Hands-on, fair, and collaborative approach to stakeholder management
