Procurement Manager
We are supporting a growing IPP on their search for a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and purchasing activities for key components in large-scale solar and battery energy storage projects. This role will drive category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely, cost-effective procurement aligned with project goals. The position works closely with Finance, Engineering, and Construction teams to support operational excellence and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sourcing:
    • Develop category strategies and execute competitive sourcing initiatives across inverters, high voltage equipment, services, and more.
    • Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost benchmarks to inform decisions.
    • Manage RFQ/RFP processes and evaluate total cost of ownership.
  • Procurement Operations:
    • Issue and track purchase orders, ensuring alignment with budgets and schedules.
    • Implement and maintain procurement policies and workflows.
  • Supplier Management:
    • Conduct due diligence, performance reviews, and quarterly business reviews.
    • Resolve delivery and documentation issues while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Logistics & Compliance:
    • Coordinate pre-construction logistics for assigned categories.
    • Ensure adherence to technical, ESG, quality, and safety standards.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Maintain procurement trackers and KPIs.
    • Provide cost analysis and market intelligence to support decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of procurement or supply chain experience in the renewable energy space.
  • Knowledge of PV modules, inverters, BESS, and related equipment is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; ERP experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for research and analysis is a plus.
