Production Manager
The Production Manager provides leadership and oversight for daily manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for managing hourly production personnel, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met, and driving continuous improvement across all operations. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager plays a key role in cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead plant safety initiatives and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Oversee daily production activities including coating, laminating, finishing, shipping, and receiving operations.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing tools to improve consistency, reduce cycle time, and eliminate waste.
- Develop and optimize processes to improve line performance in speed, uptime, safety, and cost.
- Ensure all output meets product specifications for quality, appearance, weight, and markings.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to support operational goals and innovation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 5-7 years of progressive manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years supervising hourly production teams.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional collaboration and drive operational improvements.
