Position Summary

A Chicago-based food & beverage manufacturer is looking for a new Production Manager. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in food production management, committed to achieving operational goals safely, efficiently, and with uncompromising quality standards.

The Production Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate daily production activities to meet established schedules and cost objectives.
  • Drive performance to ensure production goals are consistently achieved within time and budget constraints.
  • Design and enforce safety and quality protocols that protect consumers and safeguard company interests.
  • Partner cross-functionally with departments such as Quality Assurance, R&D, Engineering, Maintenance, and Sales to streamline processes and enhance product excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain precise production records for reporting and performance analysis.
  • Utilize data insights to identify patterns, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective measures for continuous improvement.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop production teams to maintain high productivity and craftsmanship standards.

The Production Manager should have the following qualifications:

  • Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience in food production management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of food manufacturing processes and operational best practices.
  • Familiarity with food industry compliance standards; SQF or BRC experience preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Decisive leadership with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
