Project Engineer
Salary: Up to $120,000 Base + Annual Bonus + Relocation Assistance
A leading industrial manufacturing organization is seeking a Project Engineer to support capital improvement initiatives within a large-scale production facility. This position offers the opportunity to lead impactful projects from concept through completion while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute capital projects from initial scope development through design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and project closeout.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, engineering, contractors, and external vendors throughout all project phases.
- Develop and review engineering drawings, project documentation, equipment layouts, and technical specifications.
- Support process improvements and plant modernization initiatives focused on efficiency, reliability, and safety.
- Conduct project financial evaluations and cost analyses to support investment decisions.
- Track project milestones, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain timelines and budgets.
- Ensure all projects comply with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee contractor activities and support equipment installation and startup efforts.
- Present project updates, progress reports, and recommendations to plant leadership.
- Participate in troubleshooting efforts and collaborate with operations teams to identify long-term improvement opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that drive sustainable operational results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical, or related discipline preferred).
- Minimum of 6 years of engineering, project management, capital project, or mechanical design experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process environment.
- Understanding of project management principles, scheduling, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Experience working with process equipment, facility improvement projects, or manufacturing systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a dynamic production environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- Capital project management within manufacturing, heavy industrial, process, packaging, building materials, chemical, food & beverage, metals, mining, or similar industries.
- Experience supporting equipment installations, plant expansions, facility upgrades, or process optimization projects.
- Exposure to mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, controls, utilities, energy systems, or production equipment.
