Project Manager (Data Analytics and Logistics)
Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager with deep expertise in supply chain data analysis and continuous improvement. This role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, optimizing logistics processes, and enhancing decision-making through data-driven strategies. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in supply chain analytics, process improvement methodologies, and project management to support business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Optimization:
Analyze freight expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and negotiate contracts with carriers and third-party logistics providers to reduce transportation spend. - Freight Operations Management:
Oversee daily transportation activities including scheduling, route planning, and carrier selection to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. - Data Analysis & Reporting:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), generate actionable insights, and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership to improve supply chain performance. - Vendor & Carrier Relations:
Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners, ensuring service level compliance and alignment with business goals. - Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all transportation activities adhere to local, national, and international regulations while upholding safety standards. - Continuous Improvement:
Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline processes, implement best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain analytics, logistics, or transportation management
- Proven track record in project management and process improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with ERP and TMS systems is a plus
