Join a global powerhouse in Food Manufacturing and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) as a Quality Assurance Manager, leading quality and food safety operations across two high-impact production facilities in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area.
This is a strategic leadership role designed for a quality-driven professional who thrives in fast-paced, FDA/USDA-regulated environments. You'll be the key driver of quality excellence, ensuring compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement across all QA/QC functions.
The ideal Quality Assurance Manager candidate will have the following skill set:
- 4+ years of Quality experience; 2+ years' progressive Leadership in a Food Manufacturing or CPG production environment
* Audit experience
* FDA, HACCP, USDA & Similar experience
* PCQI experience a plus
* Multi-site experience a plus, but not required
* Strong knowledge of ISO, GMP, HACCP food safety and other industry standards
* Superior analytical skills with an outstanding attention to detail
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Proven ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with local and international counterparts
The Quality Assurance Manager will have the following responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and uphold strategic processes to create an autonomous Quality organization to run on a 24/7 schedule
- * Maintain USDA relationship, communicate updates, and facilitate audits as necessary
* Rectify customer complaints & quality issues as necessary and conduct root-cause analysis to determine causes and correct as necessary
* Review documentation to ensure compliance
* Ensure GMP, ISO, Quality, and Food Safety standards are upheld
* Provide QA/QC Support across all areas of the plant as necessary
* Resolve customer delivery discrepancies and amend production schedule priorities accordingly
* Develop, implement, and uphold strategic initiatives to ensure long-term goals are met
* Provide both short- and long-term Quality plans to appropriate parties to be used for capacity analysis
* Take a proactive approach to managing and reporting safety and quality standards in the plant
* Maintain a comprehensive quality system and strategy related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials in compliance with regulatory standards
* Validate quality measurement accuracy to create recurring results
