Position Summary:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and protocols to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. This role plays a key part in supporting audits, driving corrective actions, and collaborating across departments to uphold product integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of QMS through data analysis and team collaboration.
- Conduct audits to identify deficiencies and ensure corrective actions meet reliability standards.
- Lead cross-functional quality improvement initiatives.
- Support internal and external audits, including customer and third-party assessments.
- Provide training and guidance on product conformity and quality practices.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Skilled in using inspection tools such as micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and profilometers.
- Knowledgeable in ISO and AS9100 quality standards.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
- Capable of managing projects and leveraging KPIs to drive improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
Preferred Experience:
- 4+ years in a manufacturing quality role.
- Experience in the aerospace manufacturing sector.
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
