Regional Key Account Manager

Location: Benelux

As a Regional Sales Manager for the Benelux market, you will be the commercial point of contact for transport companies across the region. With a strong focus on ferry-based freight routes, especially across the North Sea and Irish Sea, you'll work to grow the business, develop customer relationships, and explore untapped markets. This role is ideal for someone entrepreneurial whether you're experienced or earlier in your career and ready to take ownership of a dynamic and essential sales territory.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Key Account Management: Maintain and expand long-term customer relationships across your region.
  • New Business Development: Actively seek and attract new transport clients within our European freight network.
  • Sales Activities: Visit clients, conduct product presentations, negotiate rates and volumes, and finalise commercial agreements.
  • Customer Support: Ensure smooth implementation of agreements, follow up on service delivery, and resolve deviations quickly.
  • Sales Planning: Analyse market trends and feed insights into our sales and commercial strategies.
  • Key Account Support: Collaborate with the Freight Commercial Manager on high-value customer engagements.
  • Marketing & Innovation: Support marketing campaigns (e.g. newsletters, mailings) and suggest digital tools to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Deliver regular updates on sales performance and participate in progress meetings.

  • You are commercially savvy and proactive, with a customer-first mindset.
  • You enjoy building lasting relationships and are comfortable negotiating and presenting at all levels.
  • You thrive in both strategic account management and hands-on business development.
  • You're independent, but enjoy working within a tight-knit and supportive team.

What You Bring

  • HBO-level education (preferably in logistics, business administration, or marketing).
  • Around 5 years of relevant experience in the ferry, transport, or logistics sector. We are also open to more junior candidates with potential.
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English (
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
  • A valid driving license and willingness to travel across the region.
