Overview:

A leading specialty manufacturing company is seeking a Reliability Manager to lead efforts in improving equipment uptime and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for implementing reliability engineering strategies, managing a small team, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Reliability Road Map to reduce equipment downtime and enhance operational performance.
  • Lead and mentor a team including a Reliability Engineer and hourly maintenance/production staff.
  • Implement and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Conduct root cause failure analyses and apply findings to improve maintenance practices.
  • Provide technical guidance on equipment maintenance standards and procedures.
  • Identify and resolve chronic equipment reliability issues.
  • Apply precision maintenance principles to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Redesign or upgrade equipment to meet reliability and performance standards.
  • Benchmark industry best practices and integrate them into facility operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in maintenance or reliability within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with paper machines or boiler operations is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles and maintenance strategies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and risk-based decision-making.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook.
