Overview:
A leading specialty manufacturing company is seeking a Reliability Manager to lead efforts in improving equipment uptime and operational efficiency. This role is responsible for implementing reliability engineering strategies, managing a small team, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Reliability Road Map to reduce equipment downtime and enhance operational performance.
- Lead and mentor a team including a Reliability Engineer and hourly maintenance/production staff.
- Implement and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Conduct root cause failure analyses and apply findings to improve maintenance practices.
- Provide technical guidance on equipment maintenance standards and procedures.
- Identify and resolve chronic equipment reliability issues.
- Apply precision maintenance principles to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Redesign or upgrade equipment to meet reliability and performance standards.
- Benchmark industry best practices and integrate them into facility operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in maintenance or reliability within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with paper machines or boiler operations is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles and maintenance strategies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and risk-based decision-making.
- Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook.
