Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Eastern United States, Remote

Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 + 20% Bonus

Summary:

The Senior Retail Sales Manager will lead and manage sales for the Eastern region of the U.S. for a leading Hispanic Foods Manufacturer. In this role, you'll drive profitable retail growth, develop and execute strategies to expand the company's presence, and manage relationships with key retail accounts such as Publix, Food Lion, and Target. You'll lead retail sales and execution, identify business opportunities, and perform direct sales activities to enhance market penetration. The position involves traveling up to 50% of the time, ensuring optimal distribution and merchandising impact. The Senior Retail Sales Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Drive profitable retail growth and develop strategies to expand the company's presence.
  • Manage retail sales performance and execution, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Execute national and regional retail programs to optimize distribution and merchandising impact.
  • Identify and analyze business opportunities using market and account data.
  • Perform direct sales activities to enhance market penetration within assigned accounts.
  • Work with Buyers and Brokers to gain new accounts and grow existing ones.
  • Provide strategic input for trade marketing strategies and customer requirements.
  • Lead customer and category planning, leveraging consumer insights to drive strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to optimize profitability and reduce disruptions.
  • Target key retail accounts such as Publix, Food Lion, Target, Harris Teeter, Safeway, and others.
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings, food shows, and trade shows to promote production capabilities.

The Senior Retail Sales Manager will have the following requirements and skills set:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of retail account management and fact-based direct selling experience.
  • Recent customer-facing account management experience
  • Strong knowledge of retail sales, merchandising, and customer service.
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and manage high-volume, fast-paced activities.
  • Experience calling on Publix, Harris Teeter, Target, Meijer, or Ahold.
  • Strong analytical mindset, using operational and financial data to make decisions.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision while being driven and self-motivated to continually grow sales.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen and self-starter mindset focused on achieving results.
