Senior Account Manager

We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to lead and grow strategic customer relationships within the chemical manufacturing sector. This role is responsible for managing key accounts, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client needs across industrial, specialty, and performance chemical markets.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical understanding of chemical products and applications, combined with excellent commercial acumen and relationship management skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring consistent communication and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute account strategies to drive revenue growth, improve retention, and expand product adoption.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including sales, R&D, technical service, and supply chain to deliver tailored solutions and resolve client issues.
  • Understand customer processes, challenges, and goals to recommend appropriate chemical products and services.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activity to inform strategic decisions.
  • Prepare and present account reviews, forecasts, and performance reports to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements in alignment with company policies and profitability targets.
  • Support new product introductions and lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance customer experience.
  • Mentor junior account managers and contribute to team development and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in account management or technical sales within the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of chemical formulations, applications, and industrial processes.
  • Proven ability to manage complex accounts and drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or industry-specific platforms is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
