The Role

As Senior Business Development Manager - Contract Logistics, you will be responsible for driving new business growth across the Benelux region. This is a senior, hunter‑focused role targeting mid‑to‑large enterprise customers requiring tailored contract logistics and warehousing solutions.

You will work closely with operations, solutions design, pricing, and senior leadership to build compelling, end‑to‑end value propositions and convert opportunities into long‑term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, target, and acquire new contract logistics customers across the Benelux region
  • Develop and manage a robust new business pipeline focused on warehousing, distribution, and value‑added logistics solutions
  • Lead the full sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, solution development, tender management, pricing, negotiation, and deal closure
  • Collaborate with solutions design, operations, and IT teams to create customized logistics solutions
  • Conduct customer meetings, workshops, site visits, and executive‑level presentations
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and long‑term contracts to ensure profitable growth
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to support strategic decision‑making
  • Represent the business at industry events and networking opportunities

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within contract logistics / 3PL
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing, distribution, value‑added services, and supply chain solutions
  • Demonstrated success in new business generation and closing complex, high‑value contracts
  • Ability to sell consultative, tailored logistics solutions rather than standard products
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in pricing, tenders, and contract negotiations
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder‑management skills
  • Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French is strongly preferred
  • Willingness to travel across the Benelux region
