Senior Business Development Manager - India (Industrial Machinery)

About your job

In this position, you're responsible for leading the sales team and delivering on the targets and KPI's of your area of responsibility in India. You support the design and drive the implementation of our strategic initiatives locally. To ensure success, you work closely with Operations and functional teams within the Sales and Marketing organisations. You understand the need to balance local, regional and global needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensuring your team contributes to the business planning cycle, following up on local business results and implementing mitigation actions where required.
  • Support in building the infrastructure to be able to successfully sell products and services.
  • Seek growth in our strategic accounts following our business model and prioritise where to focus based on our customer needs and partner's strength.
  • Drive collaboration and pro-active communication to speed up and improve our way of working.
  • Seek global solutions to achieve efficiency gains and show interest in new technologies.

Job Requirements

  • A university degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Economics, or related qualification from job experience.
  • Inclusive leadership and excellent collaborative and change management skills to guide our organisation and lead multicultural teams.
  • Balance long-term needs with short-term results and operational performance.
  • Strong background from global multinational organisations
  • Dynamic, agile and solid mindset in sales management experience as well as leadership skills are essential
  • Strong B2B business experience
  • Background of consumables or equipment used in manufacturing is desired
  • Technical services to manufacturing customers is a plus
  • Experience in industries that transacts a lot through and with distributors (like many industrial supplies are) is a plus
  • Experience with tactical and strategic planning
  • Fluency in English, verbally and in writing
