Senior Manufacturing Engineer

DSJ Global is partnered with a leading manufacturer in the battery and aerospace field that is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to champion process excellence, support next-generation product introductions, and help shape the future of our manufacturing operations. This role has an Operational Leadership track.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, repeatability, and compliance with AS9100 standards.
- Develop production tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support precision machining and assembly.
- Provide daily on-the-floor technical support, troubleshooting equipment issues, process variation, and nonconformances.
- Lead Lean/Six Sigma-based initiatives to reduce waste, enhance workflow, and increase throughput.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, identify cost drivers, and recommend automation or process improvements.
- Lead root-cause and corrective action investigations (RCCA) and drive long-term solutions.
- Improve and standardize process documentation for both existing and new manufacturing operations.
- Oversee new product introductions-from process validation to tooling readiness and manufacturing release.
- Create and manage engineering change requests and implement change orders.
- Collaborate with operations leadership to build long-term strategies aligned with business and capacity goals.
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians, promoting a culture of excellence and technical development.
- Use process data, statistical analysis, and digital manufacturing tools to optimize processes and justify capital investments.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- 5-7 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or similar regulated environments.
- Proven experience supporting new product introduction (NPI).
- Strong background in process routings, work instructions, and PFMEA development.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
