Senior Process Engineer
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Senior Process Engineer to join our team at a leading building materials manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for an engineer with 3-7 years of experience and a strong focus on Continuous Improvement (CI) and process optimization. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency, product consistency, and cost-effectiveness across our production lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing operations and reduce waste.
- Analyze and improve production processes for building materials such as concrete, insulation, roofing, siding, or other structural products.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and control plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, quality, and R&D to troubleshoot and resolve process issues.
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI tools to drive measurable improvements in throughput, quality, and safety.
- Support new product development and scale-up from pilot to full-scale production.
- Monitor process KPIs and use data analytics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Train production staff on process best practices and CI methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering (required).
- 3-7 years of experience in a process engineering role within a building materials manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred).
- Proficient in process mapping, root cause analysis, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Experience with CAD tools, process simulation, and manufacturing data systems.
