Senior Production and Utilities Engineer
Overview:
The Senior Production and Utilities Engineer is responsible for overseeing production processes and utility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations within a chemical manufacturing facility. This role focuses on optimizing plant performance, managing energy and utility resources, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and optimize production operations to meet quality, safety, and output targets.
- Manage and maintain utility systems (steam, water, compressed air, refrigeration, etc.) to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental impact.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and environmental requirements.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams on equipment reliability and plant upgrades.
- Support capital projects and provide technical expertise for new installations or modifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in production and utilities within chemical or process manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of chemical processes, energy systems, and utility management.
- Proven ability to lead projects and drive operational excellence.
- Familiarity with safety standards (OSHA, PSM) and environmental regulations.
