Senior R&D Scientist
My client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior R&D Scientist to lead the development of innovative food and beverage products from concept to commercialization. This role requires a deep understanding of food science, strong project management skills, and a passion for innovation. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain to bring new products to market efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end product development projects, from ideation through scale-up and commercialization.
- Design and execute experiments to develop new formulations, improve existing products, and solve technical challenges.
- Apply scientific principles to develop products that meet sensory, nutritional, regulatory, and shelf-life requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to drive innovation.
- Mentor junior scientists and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in R&D within the food and beverage industry.
- Proven track record of successful product launches and technical problem-solving.
- Strong knowledge of food ingredients, processing technologies, and regulatory requirements.
