Senior Utilities Process Engineer
The Senior Process Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing operations by providing technical expertise in process engineering and overseeing system performance. This position focuses on utilities management and continuous improvement to support safe, sustainable, and cost-effective production.
Responsibilities Include:
* Act as the site's utilities subject matter expert, offering guidance for maintenance, automation, and troubleshooting.
* Monitor and optimize utility systems-including boilers, refrigeration, compressed air, chilled water, and HVAC-to maintain consistent, efficient operation.
* Drive energy efficiency initiatives by tracking KPIs, reducing costs, and supporting environmental sustainability goals.
* Manage the Management of Change (MoC) process for mechanical, instrumentation, and automation modifications, ensuring compliance and documentation accuracy.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to implement preventive maintenance programs, process improvements, and capital projects related to utilities.
* Maintain accurate reporting and documentation, including performance metrics, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams, while providing weekend on-call support when needed.
Desired Skillset:
* Preferred: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
* Experience: Minimum 6+ years in a utilities-focused role within manufacturing.
* Expertise: Strong background in utility system design, equipment management, and reliability strategies.
* Knowledge: Familiarity with project lifecycle deliverables, contracts, scheduling, and compliance standards.
