Solution Design Manager - Contract Logistics

This role puts you at the centre of high‑value contract logistics deals, leading how complex solutions are designed, sold, and delivered. You'll shape winning RFP strategies, guide execution through to go‑live, and lead a team that sets the standard for logistics engineering excellence.
What You'll Do
Solution Design & Delivery
- Lead end‑to‑end responses to customer RFPs in contract logistics
- Analyse data, manage customer Q&A, and design tailored logistics solutions
- Develop and validate costing and pricing models
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals
- Ensure a smooth handover to implementation teams, providing engineering support through to go‑live
Leadership & Governance
- Review and validate all solutions produced by the engineering team, ensuring quality and consistency
- Support Sales during pre‑RFQ discovery with technical expertise
- Lead, develop, and grow a team of Solution Design Engineers
- Contribute to the engineering tools roadmap and continuous process improvement
- Drive knowledge sharing, best practices, and innovation across the engineering function
Who You Are
- 10+ years in contract logistics / solution design / logistics engineering
- Proven people leader with strong commercial and technical judgement
- Sharp analytical thinker, comfortable with complexity and senior stakeholders
- International mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
