Position Title: Senior Manager, Health, Safety & Environment
Role Overview
The Senior Manager of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) is responsible for designing, executing, and overseeing HSE programs across multiple operational sites. Reporting to the Site Director, this role ensures the safety and well-being of all individuals on-site-including employees, contractors, and visitors-by maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and internal standards. The position serves as a technical advisor to site leadership on all matters related to environmental health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement location-specific HSE programs, including behavioral safety initiatives and regulatory compliance strategies.
- Lead incident reporting and investigation processes, ensuring root cause analysis, corrective actions, and knowledge sharing across the organization.
- Manage risk assessment activities such as Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE evaluations, ergonomic reviews, chemical and equipment assessments, and support project planning from an HSE perspective.
- Oversee regulatory compliance, including permitting, documentation, and recordkeeping.
- Identify and fulfill training requirements based on regulatory and internal standards.
- Support and lead projects related to sustainability, corporate responsibility, crisis management, and business continuity.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, corporate teams, and customer representatives during HSE-related visits.
- Translate corporate HSE strategies into actionable goals for the site.
- Provide leadership and guidance to on-site HSE personnel.
- Manage site security operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of HSE experience with a Master's degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field; or 10-12 years with a Bachelor's degree in the same disciplines.
- Familiarity with local and national HSE regulations.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal.
- Experience developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures.

Travel Requirements
- Approximately 20% travel annually (up to 52 business days), including site visits and regulatory engagements.
