Sr Procurement Manager

Position Overview

The Senior Procurement Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of Packaging Procurement and serve as a key liaison between external supply partners and internal teams, including supply chain planning, tactical buying, customer service, sales, and marketing.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a solid foundation in procurement, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will foster strong supplier relationships, lead onboarding efforts, and ensure supplier performance through regular reviews and metrics tracking.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships
  • Manage spend across a diverse portfolio of commodities
  • Lead cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives
  • Conduct pricing analysis and support negotiation strategies
  • Monitor market trends and forecast pricing impacts
  • Communicate potential cost changes to pricing and leadership teams
  • Oversee RFPs, supplier onboarding, and compliance processes
  • Create and maintain supplier scorecards; lead quarterly business reviews
  • Evaluate supplier contracts for feasibility and performance
  • Collaborate with supply chain and operations on inventory and quality strategies
  • Investigate and resolve pricing discrepancies; approve invoices as needed
  • Conduct risk assessments on supplier agreements
  • Champion key procurement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate pricing and supplier data in internal systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain or procurement
  • Foundational knowledge of sourcing and procurement practices
  • Experience managing commodities, including market research and hedging
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Proven leadership and influencing capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Primarily on-site in Villa Rica, GA, with some remote flexibility
  • Contract review and negotiation experience

Preferred Experience

  • Procurement experience with the following commodities (in order of importance):
    • Wheat, flour, bread
    • Sugar
    • Spices
    • Edible oils (canola, sunflower)
    • Fruits and tree nuts
