Staff Engineer
DSJ Global is currently partnered with an industry leading processing equipment and systems manufacturer who is looking to add a Staff Engineer to their team in Springfield, MO. The Staff Engineer is a senior contributor who provides process and structural engineering analysis, calculations and design of specialized and Engineered To Order (ETO) products. This position will oversee project direction from an engineering perspective as well as analyze and provide solutions to challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and distribute engineering documentation for project execution.
- Collaborate frequently with sales, purchasing, estimating, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers.
- Review specifications and cost estimates to ensure design outputs meet requirements.
- Prepare design calculations and oversee the creation of drawings and technical documents.
- Ensure drawings and specifications align with project estimates.
- Support and troubleshoot manufacturing and testing processes for design functionality.
- Resolve engineering issues throughout production.
- Provide advanced technical support during production phases.
- Train and guide Designers and Design Engineers.
- Collaborate across disciplines to address technical inquiries.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce rework.
- Manage key projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with scope and timelines.
- Assist sales and estimating teams in evaluating customer requirements and proposing solutions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in specific design areas.
- Maintain document control procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process and structural engineering preferred.
- Professional Engineering License required or must be obtained within one year.
- Certification as Engineer of Responsible Charge per ASME Section VIII Division 1 (as applicable).
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Inventor.
