As we continue to expand our global trade capabilities, we are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Trade Lane Manager to lead and grow our Europe-India trade lane, based out of Italy.
The Role
As the Trade Lane Manager, you will be the strategic and commercial lead for all freight activities between Europe and India. You'll work closely with sales, operations, and overseas offices to develop trade lane strategies, drive growth, and ensure service excellence across both Air and Ocean freight.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute trade lane strategies to grow volumes and revenue between Europe and India.
- Build strong relationships with key clients, carriers, and overseas partners.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify and convert new business opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and capacity to ensure competitive positioning.
- Support tender management and provide trade lane expertise during RFQs.
- Ensure operational alignment and service quality across the trade lane.
- Provide regular reporting and performance analysis to senior leadership.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in freight forwarding, with a strong focus on Air & Ocean freight.
- In-depth knowledge of the Europe-India trade lane.
- Strong commercial acumen and customer relationship skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and across cultures.
- Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
- Fluency in English; Italian and/or Hindi is a plus.
