Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Barendrecht (Shift: 13:30-22:30)
Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for logistics and team development? We're looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join a dynamic distribution center in Barendrecht. This is a key leadership role where you'll oversee daily warehouse operations, coach and guide team members, and drive continuous improvement across processes.
What you'll do:
- Lead, train, and coach warehouse staff, ensuring smooth onboarding and ongoing development
- Optimize workforce deployment based on individual strengths and growth potential
- Foster a positive team culture focused on collaboration, improvement, and job satisfaction
- Supervise daily operations to meet quality, efficiency, and safety targets
- Ensure high service levels and customer satisfaction through reliable and cost-effective processes
- Collaborate with fellow supervisors, the DC Manager, and other departments to maintain clear communication and alignment
- Monitor KPIs and proactively address risks or issues
- Support marketing activities such as campaigns, trade shows, and seminars when relevant
What we're looking for:
- HBO-level education or equivalent thinking level
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a logistics leadership role
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and food safety standards (HACCP)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to maintain oversight of complex processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A leadership style that balances operational focus with people development
