Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Fitting and Development Lead - Lifestyle Sports (Knit /Woven) to join their regional sourcing office and play a key role in driving garment fit excellence, technical development, and product commercialization.
The Opportunity
This position will serve as the technical expert throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring garments meet the brand's fit standards, quality expectations, and performance requirements from concept through bulk production.
You will collaborate closely with product development, design, merchandising, suppliers, and global technical teams to deliver commercially successful products that achieve exceptional fit, consistency, and wearer comfort.
Job Responsibilities
- With hands-on experience in garment fit evaluations across multiple product categories, ensuring alignment with brand fit standards and customer expectations, it's an inividual contributor role.
- Conduct fitting sessions, analyze fit issues, and provide clear technical recommendations to improve garment construction and fit consistency.
- Review and approve fit samples, prototypes, salesman samples, pre-production samples, and size sets.
- Develop and maintain measurement specifications, grading standards, and fit documentation.
- Partner closely with Design, Product Development, Merchandising, and Sourcing teams throughout the development process.
- Provide technical guidance to factories on garment construction, pattern adjustments, grading, workmanship, and fit corrections.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during development and commercialization stages to ensure timely product launches.
- Monitor product quality and fit performance throughout the development cycle and recommend continuous improvements.
- Ensure products meet brand standards, manufacturing feasibility requirements, and commercial objectives.
- Support seasonal fit standard reviews and contribute to the evolution of global fit blocks and technical standards.
- Travel periodically to vendor factories throughout Asia to support product development and fitting activities as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Garment Technology or related disciplines.
- 8-10 years of experience in garment technical development, fitting, pattern engineering, or apparel product development.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, grading, sizing, and fit analysis.
- Experience working with global apparel, lifestyle, sportswear, casualwear, outdoor, or fashion brands.
- Ability to evaluate fit on live models and translate observations into actionable technical corrections.
- Strong knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes and product commercialization.
- Familiarity with technical development workflows from concept through production.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with experience working across multicultural teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
- Fluent in English and Chinese including Mandarin Chinese.
