About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading provider of industrial transportation and packaging solutions, is seeking a Logistics Manager to lead transportation, warehousing, distribution, and logistics operations across North America. This newly created leadership position will play a key role in supporting company growth by optimizing domestic and international logistics networks, reducing costs, improving service, and managing critical third-party logistics relationships.
What You'll Do
- Lead transportation operations across the U.S. and Canada.
- Manage inbound ocean freight, drayage providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carrier relationships.
- Oversee LTL and truckload sourcing, transportation bids, RFPs, and contract negotiations.
- Manage 3PL warehouse partners, inventory controls, cycle counting programs, and fulfillment operations.
- Drive freight cost reduction initiatives and logistics process improvements.
- Develop KPIs, SLAs, scorecards, and business reviews for logistics providers.
- Lead a team of shipping and logistics professionals.
- Partner with Finance, Procurement, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams.
- Utilize ERP and WMS systems to maintain operational visibility and transactional accuracy.
- Support logistics network expansion and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of logistics, transportation, warehousing, or supply chain experience.
- Strong experience with ocean freight, drayage, customs brokerage coordination, and carrier management.
- Experience leading freight RFPs, carrier negotiations, and transportation sourcing activities.
- Experience managing 3PL providers and warehouse operations.
- Working knowledge of ERP and WMS systems (NetSuite experience preferred).
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and financial skills.
- Leadership experience managing logistics teams and external partners.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing organization.
