What You'll Be Doing
As an Ocean Export Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring cargo reaches destinations around the world efficiently and on time. You'll manage export shipments from booking through to departure, working closely with carriers, overseas offices, transport partners, and customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing end-to-end ocean export shipments
- Coordinating bookings with shipping lines and overseas offices
- Preparing and checking export documentation
- Monitoring shipment progress and resolving operational issues
- Liaising with customers and providing shipment updates
- Coordinating inland transport and terminal activities
- Ensuring compliance with customs and international trade regulations
- Supporting invoicing and maintaining accurate shipment records
What We're Looking For
- Experience within ocean freight forwarding, ideally export operations
- Strong knowledge of shipping documentation and export processes
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proactive, organised, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously
- Fluent in Dutch and English
