Hiring: Manufacturing Plant Manager
Location: St. Joseph, Missouri
Our client, a leading manufacturer of industrial packaging solutions, is seeking a Manufacturing Plant Manager to lead all aspects of plant operations at its St. Joseph facility. This individual will be responsible for driving safety, quality, productivity, employee development, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring the plant meets operational and financial objectives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with experience managing large manufacturing teams and delivering results in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead all plant operations, including Production, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and Warehouse functions.
* Develop and manage plant performance through KPIs focused on productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and employee engagement.
* Drive a culture of safety and ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company standards.
* Coach and develop supervisors and frontline leaders while fostering accountability and operational excellence.
* Champion continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall plant performance.
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience with responsibility for plant or multi-department operations.
* Proven experience leading salaried and hourly teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of production, maintenance, quality systems, safety programs, and operational performance metrics.
* Demonstrated success implementing Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence initiatives.
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered.
