A leading food manufacturer is seeking a Head of Operations to lead multiple further-processing and ready-to-eat manufacturing facilities. This executive will drive operational performance, food safety, regulatory compliance, financial results, and team development across a multi-site manufacturing network.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute operations strategies that support growth, efficiency, and profitability.
- Lead manufacturing, maintenance, quality, warehousing, and utility operations across multiple facilities.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Quality, Safety, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, cost controls, and overall financial performance.
- Track and improve key metrics related to safety, quality, productivity, labor, and cost.
- Build and develop high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, environmental, and workplace safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in food, beverage, protein, or CPG manufacturing.
- Proven success leading large-scale plant operations or multi-site manufacturing networks.
- Experience in RTE, USDA-regulated, or highly regulated food manufacturing environments preferred.
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, operational excellence, and performance management.
- Demonstrated P&L responsibility, budgeting, and cost-control experience.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Ability to travel as needed.
