Position Overview
We are currently partnered with a leading food & beverage manufacturer seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead capital projects from concept through startup at its Atlanta-area facility. This role is responsible for delivering equipment, processing, packaging, and facility projects on time and within budget while partnering closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, and external vendors.

- Lead capital projects from scope development through commissioning and startup.
- Manage CAPEX projects involving process equipment, packaging lines, utilities, and facility upgrades.
- Develop project budgets, schedules, specifications, and capital justifications.
- Coordinate contractors, OEMs, engineering firms, and vendors throughout execution.
- Drive equipment installation, startup, and operational handoff while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
The Senior Project Engineer should have the following qualifications…
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering.
- 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with capital project leadership.
- Proven success managing projects from concept through commissioning/startup.
- Experience overseeing budgets, schedules, contractors, and equipment installations.
- Food & beverage manufacturing experience is strongly preferred, including sanitary design and regulated production environments.
