Procurement Specialist
Role Overview
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for software and technology services. You will play a critical role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and compliant procurement practices that support our business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Software Procurement: Lead the sourcing, evaluation, and acquisition of software licenses, SaaS subscriptions, and technology services.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with software vendors, ensuring performance, compliance, and value delivery.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with vendors to optimize cost and mitigate risk.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and industry standards (e.g., data privacy, cybersecurity).
- Spend Analysis: Monitor and analyze software spend to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, Legal, Finance, and Security teams to align procurement strategies with business needs.
- Renewals & Audits: Manage software renewals, license audits, and ensure timely renewals to avoid service disruptions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, IT, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, with a strong focus on software and technology sourcing.
- Solid understanding of SaaS, cloud services, licensing models, and software asset management.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with procurement tools (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, or similar) is a plus.
- Familiarity with fintech or regulated industries is advantageous.
