Technical Designer - Project Base
Role Overview:
As a Technical Designer, you will be the bridge between design and production, ensuring that our garments meet the highest standards of fit, construction, and quality. You'll collaborate closely with designers, product developers, and manufacturers to translate creative concepts into technically sound products that are ready for market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed technical packages (tech packs) including specs, construction details, and BOMs.
- Conduct fit sessions and provide clear feedback to improve garment fit and functionality.
- Collaborate with design and product development teams to ensure design intent is accurately executed.
- Review and approve samples at various stages (proto, SMS, PPS) and ensure timely communication with vendors.
- Analyze and resolve construction issues, ensuring consistency across styles and categories.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
- Support sustainability and innovation initiatives through technical expertise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in technical design, preferably in lifestyle fashion or sportswear.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, and grading.
- Proficiency in PLM systems and Adobe Illustrator; knowledge of 3D design tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for precision and quality.
