Role: Construction Services Category Lead
Location: San Francisco, CA
Work Model: Hybrid; 1-2 days on-site
Overview:
Lead strategic sourcing and category management initiatives for a large utility organization, overseeing high-value spend across materials and services. Responsible for developing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, leading negotiations, mitigating risk, and driving cost savings while ensuring regulatory compliance and supply continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience sourcing vegetation, transmissions, and EPC services
- Develop and execute category strategies for complex spend areas.
- Lead RFIs, RFPs, supplier negotiations, and contract management activities.
- Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships and performance programs.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to align sourcing initiatives with business objectives.
- Conduct market intelligence, supplier risk assessments, and spend analysis.
- Support executive-level strategic planning and decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence across the supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of sourcing/procurement experience required; 10+ years preferred.
