Procurement Specialist
A leading industrial organization is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support sourcing, supplier management, and procurement execution activities across multiple business functions. This role works closely with procurement leadership, category teams, and operational stakeholders to implement sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost, quality, and service improvements. The ideal candidate brings strong procurement experience, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
- Support the execution of procurement strategies and sourcing initiatives across assigned categories.
- Coordinate the procurement of goods and services to meet operational requirements and business objectives.
- Manage RFx activities, supplier evaluations, and sourcing projects in accordance with procurement policies.
- Support contract implementation and supplier performance monitoring.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and procurement requirements.
- Partner with suppliers to support quality, delivery, service, and cost objectives.
- Assist with supplier negotiations, issue resolution, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Act as a key liaison between procurement and operational teams.
Data Analysis & Cost Optimization
- Analyze procurement and spend data to identify savings opportunities and process improvements.
- Track sourcing results and performance metrics using established reporting tools.
- Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain procurement records, reporting, and compliance documentation.
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Ensure procurement activities align with company policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
- Support the adoption of procurement best practices across the organization.
- Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, or supply chain operations.
- Experience working within cross-functional teams and supporting sourcing initiatives.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to draft and review procurement contracts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
