About the opportunity

DSJ Global has been retained by a leading company in the Industrial Machinery Manufacturing sector to appoint a Product Line Manager II for its Lancaster NY site. This facility designs and manufactures advanced compressed air and gas treatment systems that include filtration and dryers, nitrogen generation solutions, and related clean air and gas equipment used across manufacturing, life sciences, energy, transportation, and process industries. The Product Line Manager II will own strategy and lifecycle for a focused portfolio and will be accountable for growth, margin expansion, portfolio simplification, and world class new product introductions.

You will be the business owner for your product line. You will set the vision, define the roadmap, rally engineering, operations, supply chain, and sales around clear business cases, and deliver measurable results. The role is highly visible, located inside a modern manufacturing and application engineering environment with direct access to customers, suppliers, and cross functional teams.

Required Experience & Qualifications

You must have:
* A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Business
* A minimum of six years of experience in product management for engineered industrial products
* A minimum of four years of experience in leadership, cross-functional team management, or direct product ownership
* Direct experience with industrial machinery, motion control, compressed air & gas treatment equipment, filtration technologies, or related engineered products
* Deep familiarity with structured NPD methodologies (stage-gate, Winovation, etc.)
* Demonstrated experience managing a product portfolio including pricing, cost, and margin optimization
* Strong collaboration experience with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and sales
* Technical aptitude with the ability to read engineering documentation, specifications, and compliance requirements
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM tools such as Salesforce, and analytics platforms
* Ability to travel up to twenty five percent

* Sales growth for assigned product line
* Gross margin and net manufacturing margin improvement
* Product portfolio complexity reduction and platform commonality penetration
* Simple by design or cost out savings realized and verified by finance
* New product launch performance versus business case including adoption and margin
* Sale price index maintenance for mature and end of life offerings
* Aged and obsolete inventory reduction across finished goods and components
* Customer satisfaction and quality metrics including field failure rate and on time delivery
