Regional EHS Manager
Position Summary:
The Regional EHS Manager will provide leadership, strategic direction, and technical support for multiple manufacturing and distribution sites within the region. This role is responsible for driving a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing standardized EHS programs across all regional operations. The ideal candidate will have a proactive and hands-on approach to risk reduction and environmental stewardship in an industrial manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary EHS resource for multiple manufacturing sites in the assigned region.
Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs aligned with corporate standards, OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
Partner with site leadership to ensure a culture of safety ownership and accountability.
Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
Support incident investigations and ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions are completed and documented.
Monitor environmental permits, waste management practices, and emissions reporting requirements.
Deliver or coordinate EHS training programs for all levels of employees.
Track and analyze EHS performance metrics; report findings and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, HR, Maintenance, and Engineering.
Support emergency preparedness and response planning across all regional locations.
Stay current with EHS regulatory changes and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
7+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment; building materials industry strongly preferred.
3+ years of multi-site or regional leadership experience.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other federal/state/local regulations.
Experience with behavior-based safety programs, industrial hygiene, and environmental compliance.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to travel regionally.
Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM).
